Rock n Roll Half

Saturday we headed out to San Antonio for the rock n roll half. Teresa had signed up for this race as her first half marathon before the got sick. 19 runners, including her sister Debbie, were here to run in her memory. Many of whom hadn't run more that a few miles previously! 

We had tshirts made and matching sparkle skirts. A fun but emotional event.

25000 people at the race. Packed!

We made in a very respectable 1:51. Glad I had my energizer rabbit Ciara to spur me on! 

Free beers after, always a plus even if mich ultras 

A little time at the pool to soak our feet. 

And then some much needed Mexican by the river. And finally after noon so we could buy beer!

And margaritas. 

So many ducks and pigeons harassing for food. This particular one was a hunch back duck, resting his head on the rocks. Great meal after a great race! 

HTTR

For my birthday anne got me tickets to the skins giants game. Who knew it would actually be a meaningful game! It was chilly and rainy but we were excited!

Woohoo. At the game and skins are playing fairly well!!

We got some good turnovers and managed to keep scoring!

And they had good beer. 

We kept scoring and didn't let the giants. For the first three quarters at least!

They came back at the end but we luckily held them to 16 points. 

A win is a win.  And a fun game to be at. 

The following day Anne left for Phoenix so I had child watching duties. Everyone survived. 

And a recovery drink after their bedtime. Great weekend in nova!

Thanksgiving weekend

Starting off thanksgiving right with untappd!

Thanksgiving morning we did the turkey trot 5k at Burke lake park. It was perfect weather. 

Amazing dinner courtesy of Anne. The gangs all here, even grandma! 

Eve particularly enjoyed the squash. And the brownies. 

Post dinner exercises. 

For Friday we headed to bull run for a hike to paradise springs vineyard. 

Another beautiful day. 

And finally to the wine!

Absolute perfect weather. 

And we had quite a spread. 

Happy Black Friday! Glad we were outside!

Saturday it was one for a long run. I found a new lake in Burke centre and ended at grandmas new apartment. And did a couple extra miles accidentally. 

The girls came to play. They are always a hit with the assisted living place! 

That afternoon we spent some more time outside. Hannah pulling Eve up the hill on the tricycle! 

And then I got a workout pulling the wagon! Great long weekend!
