Hale'iwa

For the afternoon we headed to hale'iwa town. Cute little shops and then we discovered a farmers market with beer and pizza!

Wandering around the Waimea valley center we also found a peacock.

And some  gigantic trees.

Along the river. It cost $16pp to walk on a concrete path half a mile to the falls, so we skipped that.

Some lovely flowers in the free portion of the center.

And looking across to the paid portion.

Lovely afternoon!

North Shore 2

Friday morning we went for another run. Nick is getting good at this running thing!
And another swim in the ocean.
Chronically all our runs :)
Then a nice walk along the beach.
We headed to sunset beach again next. Hot and sunny day.
Walking home from the beach.
And another sunset in the village!

Sunset Beach

Thursday night we headed over to sunset beach with out newly purchased beers from the village. The beach definitely lives up to its name.

Really wonderful clouds.

And we enjoyed a leisurely sunset.

North Shore 1

Our first night on the north shore we headed to dinner at the hale'iwa beach house. In addition to great views, they also had beer flights :)
Sunset after dinner.

The next morning we went for a run up to the food trucks. Lots of chickens, including some babies.

The end of our 5k happened to be at a park across from the food trucks.
Nick loves running :)
After breakfast at the food trucks we walked along the beach and rocks.

Nick went for a swim as some ominous clouds approached.
And then the monsoon started. I hung out in a tree while nick got the car :)
Later in the day it got sunny again. Back to the beach!
No good Surf but nick got some snorkeling in.
And I got beer.

Distance selfie!
