Belize 5

Sunday morning had intermittent rain. I did some reading on the back deck and then joined the girls in town for brunch (survived the solo golf cart ride!)
Despite the raid it does look pretty.
Great breakfast spot.
What rain? :)
Did some shopping in town. One of my favorite shirts.
Took advantage of a lull in the rain to spend a last bit of time on the pier.
A little bit of light....

Interesting clouds in the distance.
Even got a sunset this night!!
Woke early the next day to head out. We had horrendous storms Sunday night but luckily they stopped before we needed to get into the tiny plane!
Pictures from the plane.
Last shy of the crew before we would get on many different planes to head all over the states.
Enjoyed a beer that was not a belikin stout on the plane!  Cheers!

Belize 4

Saturday we had planned on an all day catamaran ride. Given the weather, the captain nixed this idea! So we made the best of the rain. Our previous beach backyard was now an ocean. Some of the girls ventured out to the pier....

We braved the weather to head to town for lunch. Literally driving through rivers along the less than two mile stretch of dirt road we had to navigate.

Made it, and got a good recommendation for lunch from the guy at the bottle shop. Called "Elvis" but spelled "Elvi's" kitchen.

Amazing tacos!

Next stop Carlos and ernies runway bar for some college football!

Met a chihuahua in a purse on a man....

And the worlds biggest coaster.

Well past noticing how wet we were...

Back home thru the river.

Came home for beauty parlor. Makeovers courtesy of Susan!

The birthday princess.

We were all mini princesses in her court.

Now time for cake!

Yum!

We took taxis to go out that night (the golf carts are hard enough in daylight). Headed to a bar called Lola's. Tiffany got a free shirt for being Canadian...

More belikin beer and fun. Made in home in taxis as well. Despite the weather, good times with good friends!

Belize 3

For day 3 we headed out to the coffee shop. I planned to run while the girls were going to drive. However we had a bit of a dud of a golf cart which promptly stalled in the water....

Extra work out for the morning pushing!

Now time to run.

The rum and bean coffee shop is located on a construction site that will eventually be a resort....

Still pretty despite the weather.

Plenty of mud to on the ride home. Had ran through all of this!

Given the weather we headed to the covered porch to party!

And a little time in the windy hammock.

We went to island time bar just down the road for some great food and live music. Of course, even though it was only a mile away it took about 30 minutes to drive there....

And a puppy to keep us company.

Daryl, our guitar playing guru.

Found a random bowling pin. Birthday shot!

The gang. Great time despite less than ideal weather!
