Truckee River Trail

Wednesday morning I set off on the 6 mile trail to Tahoe city. The first bit was plowed and pretty easy walking.

After leaving squaw valley, the trails became "closed" according to the signs. Still quite walkable but there was a fair amount of snow and ice.
The trail winds along the river, making for beautiful views.

Random dam, with some ducks and geese about.
As I headed down the mountain it got warmer and warmer in the sun!
Still snow along the river, but rapidly melting. Despite the obstacles it was a great walk!
