In crescent city we stayed at the ocean front lodge. Excellent view, if a bit cloudy! We enjoyed a beer bar and then amazing mexican. Nick had never had real mexican before and was amazed!
The next morning we went to see the sea lions (noisier in video form) before heading out for the redwoods.
This short loop trail was perfect. The drive in and out was quite complex with narrow roads and lots of huge trees, and also our huge durango. But fun!
Photos cant really capture the massiveness of these trees...
We climbed about on a fallen over one.

I look even smaller on the tree...
Hence the name, "redwood"
We stopped off for a beer in a grove of trees off the path.
And one to stand in! Time to head off on more driving south!
