Tesnati to neels gap

For our first Georgia hike we did a 12 mile or so walk with 3000 feet elevation. Starting at tesnati gap we walked to neels gap and then back. 

Blue ridge mountains for a reason! 

Beautiful azaleas. 

Enjoying the lookouts as they we always a nice break after a massive climb. 

Neels gap is at the bottom of a good sized hill. 

Where the AT literally goes thru a building. 

A lot of discarded boots from thru hikers who decided they didn't work out.

I downloaded a new mountain identifier app. Worked reasonably well. A lot of the mountains are actually in Tennessee and I didn't pay for that map :)
