The Idaho Experience

To get the true Idaho experience, you need to take a few guns and go off roading into some random fields to shoot. I passed on the shooting part as I'd had some beers along my airport journeys. But the photo ops were excellent.

There are wildfires in the foothills. The smoke was quite impressive. And unfortunately just kept growing as we watched. For our part we did bring several gallons of water and a fire extinguisher to ensure that we wouldn't start another one.

I stayed clear of stray bullets and continued photo documenting

Action shot of the clay throwing.
Despite a few years out of practice Jason didn't seem too rusty.
Very very dry. There was a nice breeze which helped with the 102 temps but not with the wildfires :/

After the shotgun came the rifle. Lucy liked this one.

I liked the clouds :)

Pistols were next. There's a target way out there.
Another shot of the fire continuing.
And a couple of Jason's pics including our group shot!

Afterwards we went back to the huntingtons for some absolutely amazing venison chili and great beer. Despite the fact I had been awake for almost 24 hours, I had a fantastic first day in Idaho thanks to many wonderful hosts!
