Melbourne 2

The next day in Melbourne we went for a walk over to the botanic gardens.  Along the way we noted that noodle nights (last weekend!) was right across the water from our apartment.  Noted for that evening.

We wandered over to a new part of the gardens that I hadn't yet been to, the volcano.  The area around is in the desert style.

And the centre of the "volcano" is the reservoir that feeds downhill to thru the park to the lake.

We then went up the war memorial for some excellent views, even if cloudy.

And to the pub under the bridge on the yarra river.

We decided we wanted some tapas, and happen to find the best tapas place in Melbourne, if not in all Australia.  Movida was amazing!

It is located in the famous street art alley apparently.  Very Melbourne afternoon.

And then to noodle nights, where we got more meat!

very busy place!

We went back to the apartment and found "Life of Brian" on TV.  It's a Monty Python movie that is apparently an English Christmas tradition.  I asked for subtitles with the thick accents :)  It was fun to watch and we had a nice evening in before a fairly early morning flight!
