Bullendale track 1

We drove over to the school. Skippers  used to have 20000 people during the mining days. And a few less sandflies at the school so we could have coffee.
Then we embarked on the bullendale track!
Lots of foxglove initially and then Lupins later.
We walked down a 4wd track and then would be along the creek for a good while.
Lupins!
Sloshing thru the creek, with the occasional motorbike charging by.

Mary poppins reenactment
Then we started going up up up....
Tough walk but great views.
Looking back along the canyon.
Map reading lessons.
Roaring Meg creek. Much needed water break after the climb.

At the British American spur.
And then back down to the creek on the other side.

We had one more climb to go to get up to the hut. Terrific views. There was a family at the hut so we continued on to find a camping spot.

Finally settled on a flat by the creek. Time for beersies!
Fantastic beer fridge....
Our view for the evening. Worth the walk!
