Down to Fox

For the rest of Sunday we headed over to  the hot pools for a bit. It was more windy so less flies. Can't beat the view.
Monday we woke up fairly early to get a good start down to the car park. We walked with one of the hut wardens, Sian, as she was also headed to fox glacier.
Quick side trip to see a waterfall.
And a stop for lunch along the river.
We have the best lunches.

We made it down super fast, just over 5 hours.
Got one of the last rooms in fox and celebrated with a good bit of beers....
Random little park across from the hotel.
Tuesday morning we woke up early for sunrise at lake Matheson. Famous for its reflection of the mountains, it was fairly crowded. Now, a bunch of sunrise pictures :)

My first breakfast of the day:

And finished up fox with a fairly massive breakfast. Time to depart for queenstown!
