Dingleburn Track 1

Our walk in Hawea was along the Dingleburn track.  It's mainly a 4WD road (but quite narrow).  Technically only farm people are supposed to be on it, but we saw a lot of freedom campers as well.  There were some clouds but overall a lovely day.  The rain seemed to be across the lake.

Walking along the road/track.

Great trees to take photos of.

Rocky Point.

The usual road on the side of a cliff...

It only gets more narrow.  Silver island in the distance.

At one point the road entered into some ferns/forest with the water hidden for a bit.

And then we popped back out to see the beach that was our destination.

Didn't mind the clouds, as the walk was very exposed and would have been too much NZ sun!
