Fox glacier 2

As we waited for it to be dark enough for glowworms, we came upon a possum.  While they are pests, we couldn't quite bring ourselves to find a club to kill it with...

My one picture of a glow worm.  They are way more impressive in person!

The next morning the gang walked to the glacier while I went on a run.

I then drove up to pick them up, which was good as the car park was mobbed!

At the entrance to the glacier, with blue skies to the west.

Later that day it brightened up and we enjoyed our picnic area.

Still no Aoraki visible!

Stop off at big foots bar before dinner!

Stanley got a little tipsy.

Still a nice night but can't quite see Aoraki.

The next morning I dropped everyone off for sunrise and then went home to pack.  After sunrise Aoraki was finally visible at the viewing point!  Glad we got a glimpse before we left!
