We spent NYE in Lake Hawea. It's a fairly small town. There was a music festival at our hotel, so we went to the cafe down the street for dinner. Gigantic amazing food!
Walking back to our hotel, with the !EVENT sign indicating the party going on at our place! Luckily we didn't have to pay thr $85 cover, and could hear all the music from our room!
And also got to enjoy our view of the lake.
The next day, after a walk, we celebrated once again with champagne for the American New Year's in NYC.
