Mom, Sue and I met at dulles on Christmas day to head to SFO and then AKL. Mom's first time in a united lounge. Very exciting :) Then we were off, with flat stanley below (Sue's nephews school project)
We had a long layover in san francisco so we headed out of the airport and to a nearby marriott with a nice pub/patio. It was super windy, so we stayed inside to eat and drink. But still got nice sunset views.
And Christmas decorations.
We took a walk in the wind and then ended up at another hotel to get an uber back to the airport.
Even the airport dressed up for the holidays.
Thanks to Sue, we had polaris class, complete with pajamas!
After a nice flight over, we got to the AKL koru lounge and I finally got a proper coffee!
Headed to queenstown next. Nice to have sunset at 10pm!
