Fiordland

The next day, Mom, Sue and Lindsay headed to Routeburn track.  On the way we stopped in Te Anau for some excellent pies and coffee.  A little cloudy, but still busy at the lake.

Off they go!  See you in a couple days!

Nick and I did some exploring along the Gertrude valley past the Homer Hut.  Still good bit of snow on the peaks, but perfect weather in the valley for a short walk.

I forgot how many pictures I take in New Zealand....

Cook Lily (even though not at Mount Cook yet...)

Perfectly clear water.  A bit chilly!

We drove over to the Homer tunnel to see if the kea were causing havoc with traffic cones.  Only one was there, and lots of tourists chasing it around for pictures.  Headed back for the 3 hour drive to Queenstown.  Lovely afternoon walk!
