I then drove up to the Mauna Loa Lookout. Unfortunately with the thick clouds, there was nothing to look out on. Luckily I would see a lot of Mauna Loa the next day from Mauna Kea!
Despite the clouds, it was a nice spot far from many tourists. There were a few cars parked from people who presumably were doing the 3-4 day backpack trip to the summit. I enjoyed the solitude for some outdoor yoga.
After yoga I headed back down the one lane road in the clouds. Glad it wasn't too crowded!
