Glentanner

When we got to our accomodation, about 20 minutes down the valley from Mt Cook village, it was SUPER windy, but no rain!  We also found the NFL playoffs!

We walked down to Lake Pukaki (northern end), and were nearly blown over by giant gusts.

You can see the village area is in clouds and rain.  Picked the right place to stay!

With the strong wind, I elected to sit on the beach rather than try to stand!

We headed back to the cabin along the trail, still showing poor weather in the village.

And then, all of the sudden, we could see Aoraki!

Our window literally had the perfect view.  With the lower clouds, it likely wasn't visible from the village!
