For our full day in Hanmer, we decided to try Jacks Pass to Mt Isobel summit. The other track to the summit was closed for logging. It was VERY WINDY as we started up. It was the least elevation of the 3 tracks to the summit, but also in the shortest time, so quite steep!
Going up, up up, away from the car far below.
Cloudy on our side, but blue skies in the distance.
We did get to a fairly flat ridge line for a few protected minutes out of the wind.
Then we started our ascent once again. Views across the valley below.
Looking down on the steep scree field we had just climbed. Getting really windy now....
