Tasman Glacier

Next we walked to the Tasman Glacier viewpoint.  The glacier used to stretch all through here, and now we were just at the level of the lake.  There were a few brave people going out in the cold/rain/wind onto the water. I preferred our view.

Still pretty even with clouds!  We came down to the edge of the lake along a separate path.

Down by the area where the boats take off.

We then wandered on another path, and saw some blue sky.

And came to the very end of the lake, level with the water this time!

The icebergs don't get old.  I love the color of the water.

Heading back to the car, some sun and some rain over the valley.

We headed to the village and stopped in the cafe/bar for a coffee.  It was pouring rain in the village.  So glad we were staying in glentanner, where it never seems to rain!
