Since it was raining in Mt Cook Village, we headed to the nearby town of Twizel. I had found a walk allegedly along a creek. We set off to walk as long as we felt like!
The first part started through farm land, but no aggressive cows!
We eventually found our way to the creek and found a spot for lunch.
It must always be windy here, as there were a lot of sideways trees, and a lot of fallen branches from the massive gusts the day before.
We turned around after lunch and headed back along the creek the way we had come.
The other end of the trail was allegedly at the end of a road. We attempted this in the SUV. First stop was the bridge over the Ohau river. As we continued on, the road got pretty rough, so we eventually turned around. Adventures in twizel!
