Kaikoura 2

We walked out on the wharf by the aquarium and could see evidence of the drop in the water level.  It was also low tide, so quite accentuated.

Heading up by Fyffe Quay, evidence of former coastal buildings from the days of active whaling.

Walking across a short marsh to Point Kean.

Point Kean, quite popular with tourists, and with a short by steep walk up to a view point.

The only evidence of quake damage we saw on the path.

Views from the Point Kean lookout, including an old lighthouse.
