Wairau Lagoon 2

Flowers along the marsh.  The dry hills in the background.  So different from all the green we had been seeing.

At the wreck of the waverly.  The ship was positioned to act as a breakwater, but instead floated into the rive and was stranded in the lagoon.

We wandered a little farther before eventually returning to this spot for lunch.

Black swans in the distance.

More desert like flowers.

And back at the waverly for lunch! Nice to have a warm sunny day!
